This looks very promising and I can’t wait to get my hands on the beta build to start trying out the over 1,000 new API’s. I wasn’t too concerned about some of the lesser new features like copy and paste and turn by turn directions but I’m thrilled as an iPhone developer and user that they’ve opened up the hardware aspect and that push notifications will be working. The ability to embed Google maps in an app will also help out on certain apps. Here is the list of features they’ve listed as their major ones.
- Search your iPhone
- Cut, copy, and paste
- Send photos, contacts, audio files, and location via MMS*
- Read and compose email and text messages in landscape
